// FAQ
Anything else?
The landing page covers pricing, what we monitor, and why we hate subscriptions. The rest of the things collectors ask, and a few worth asking before you commit, live here.
-
When does the beta start?
Soon. We open the gate to the first fifty as soon as the alert pipeline holds steady under real collector workloads, not before. Applications are reviewed in submission order, and the hunt you pick when you apply tells us which integrations to prioritize. If you're on the waitlist, you'll hear from us by name the moment your seat opens.
-
What if I'm not sure yet what I'm hunting?
That's fine. Pick the closest category on the waitlist form and we'll go from there. Once you're inside, the watchlist is freeform: add anything you want, change your mind as often as you want. Collecting taste evolves; the tool's built for that.
-
Which marketplaces do you cover at launch?
Heritage Auctions, eBay, StockX. More on the way. Every Hunter and Curator tier user gets every marketplace we add, forever, at no extra charge. We only commit to integrations we have a real technical path to, no vapor.
-
What if my category isn't one of the listed hunts?
Tell us. The hunts on the homepage are where we're starting, not where we're stopping. The platform is designed so that any item you can describe in text (by name, set, grade, year, condition) is something we can watch for. If you're hunting outside the listed categories, drop the details in the waitlist or contact form and we'll fold your grail into the matching scanner.
-
How fast is "real-time"?
As fast as the source allows. On eBay we hold full Notification API access, so alerts land in under a minute. Heritage publishes new lots on a 15-minute API cadence and we run flush against the cap. "Real-time" means as close to the listing moment as the marketplace will let us get, not a daily digest pretending to be live.
-
How accurate are the comp prices?
The comp delta on each alert is calculated from recent sold-listing data on the same source where the alert came from, weighted toward the last 90 days. eBay's sold-listings API is the ground truth there; Heritage uses prior-lot results. We surface the delta as a guide, not a guarantee. Your eye on condition and authenticity is still the last filter.
-
What stops me from missing an alert?
Every alert lands in three places at once: web push, email, and (on Curator tier) Discord/Slack/SMS. Push acks happen within seconds. If a notification doesn't reach you for any reason, the alert stays visible in your dashboard inbox until you mark it seen. Nothing disappears.
-
Will Grailsnap ever auto-buy items for me?
No. Bidding and checkout stay in your hands, always. We surface the listing, the price, and how it compares to recent sales. The decision is yours. The click is yours. The grail is yours.
-
Can I upgrade my tier later?
Yes. Upgrade any time, pay the difference between what you originally paid and the current price of the new tier. No re-buy, no double-pay. Downgrades aren't a thing because there's no recurring charge to downgrade from. The lowest tier you join is the price you keep.
-
What devices does it run on?
Anything with a modern browser. Grailsnap runs in your browser: Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox on desktop, and you can pin it to your home screen on iOS or Android for native-style notifications. Nothing to download, no store wait, no version to keep current. Alerts also fan out via email, browser push, and on Curator tier via Discord, Slack, and SMS.
-
Can I share my watchlist with a partner or club?
Not yet. Single-user watchlists at launch. Club and group-chat sharing is on the near-term roadmap because we know it matters for dealer collectives and family hunts. If you need it, mention it on the contact form and you'll be in the first cohort when it ships.
-
What happens to my data if I delete my account?
Everything personally identifying you (email, payment metadata, alert history, the watchlist itself) is wiped within 30 days. The only thing that lingers is the anonymous aggregate analytics that keep the service running, and even those carry no signal back to you. Deletion is final and we never sell, share, or fold your hunt history into anything else. Privacy policy spells it out word for word.
-
Will I ever see ads?
Never. No banner ads, no sponsored alerts, no "recommended for you" surfacing of seller inventory. The product is paid for once and exists for one purpose: tell you when your grail lists. We have no Plan B revenue model that depends on attention or impressions.
-
Do you work for collectors outside the US?
Yes. Paddle handles tax and currency for every supported region globally. You'll see prices in your local currency at checkout, and Paddle remits VAT/GST/sales tax wherever it applies. Alerts work the same wherever you are; the marketplaces we cover ship internationally, so a Heritage lot is a Heritage lot whether you're in Atlanta or Auckland.
-
What's your refund policy?
Fourteen days, no questions, processed straight back to your original payment method via Paddle. After fourteen days we work with you in good faith case by case. If you bought it and it genuinely didn't work for you, we're not going to be jerks about it. Full terms on the refund policy page.

Still have a question?
Drop us a line via the contact form and pick the topic that fits. We read every message and answer in a day or two. The team is small, the inbox is real, no auto-responders.
